Looks great. I'm building one of these. How do the pickups mount to the pickguard?
Just a cut-out for each humbucker with a hole either side for the mounting screw. Then a spring in-between the underside of the pickguard and the standard flat mounting leg on the humbucker with the height-adjustment spring through the middle. It's just like using pickup rings but without having to screw the pickup ring to the guitar.
You just have to fit the pickups to the guard before attaching the guard to the body.
Thanks for that, what I thought. Only the centre hole where the height adjuster is in the cutouts and no screws in the kit for the 4 holes on the pickups. Just want to be sure before I drill any holes.
