    Oli, I feel your pain. I played my newly painted ST-1 on my knee and forgot that my pants had a metal button on the pocket!!! needless to say some choice words flew out of my mouth!

    Out with the old rattly kit bridge. In with the new kinda better wilkinson!

    Get rid of the EB 9's and put back on the EB 10's

    Things should be back to normal in my world!!

    Great!

    It's quite cheap to make a big improvement over the standard kit items - Tonerider or other low cost replacement pups, Wilkinson hardware etc. But then you have to make a much bigger investment to get a noticeable improvement over that.

    Though drilling the body for through-body stringing would probably be another cheap improvement you could do.

    When you add up all the cost of the parts, and add in your effort, you probably do have a $700 guitar!

    The combination of olympic white with black pick guard looks sharp! Love the headstock too! Did you shape it freehand or follow a plan?
