Here's what I'm getting myself for Christmas this year.

Hey everyone, thought I would start a thread about what I'm getting myself for Christmas this year, here's a pic to show what it's going to look like:




It's my brand new Joey Jordison BC Rich Warlock II electric guitar, I currently have it on layby at the Top End Pro Music Shop in Darwin's Central Business District, I will be making the second, and final payment on it on Tuesday next fortnight, and once I get it home I will post a pic of the actual guitar, I have always wanted to buy myself a BC Rich Warlock guitar ever since I saw one in one of my guitar magazines I used to collect in the early 90's , but I could never afford one untill now, so, this is the fulfillment of a lifetime dream.

Yep I agree, I'm definitely going to have to learn some 80's Thrash Metal riffs, I wonder what the guitar is going to sound like through my Marshall amp, hope you had a great day too mate, I'm guessing that you're listening to Metallica's new Hardwired album?, yeah they have come a long way since the two Load albums, you should also check out Megadeth's latest album called Dystopia, it has this one song on it that has rapidly become my favorite, it's called "Post American World" .

The main guitar riff in that song has to be the most skull-crushingly heavy riff that Dave Mustaine has ever created, I'll definitely have to learn that song.


I've been trying to learn how to play "Peace Sells" by Megadeth, it's not as easy as you would think, here's a video clip of the song:

Cheers Stan, the next fortnight after I get the guitar home from the shop, I'm going to buy myself a new Boss MT-2 Metalzone pedal, I used to have one but I can't remember what happened to it, I probably lent it to someone and never got it back off them, I'm missing all the sounds I could get with it, I know I've got the Tonebone Hot British Pedal, but it has some issues that make it hard to use on my pedal board, it has a nasty habit of generating hum noise at high gain settings, and it also gets a bit brittle when the gain is turned up, the Metalzone pedal should work great with the new guitar.

Later on next year I'm going to buy a new Boss RE-20 pedal too.
