Sooo, I got my birthday present early ......
looks like December in 2016 is going to be the same as 2015 and I'll be sneaking out at night to sand my luscious new strat hardtail!
I've been dreaming of this build for the better part of half a year thinking i'll have to custom order it, then Adam somehow precogged my vision and presented in the newest available kits! Boom!

nice score Andy, first hardtail strat kit I've seen. Looks like you have a DB bone nut and Grover tuners or Grover bridge?
the grain on the rosewood neck looks very nice.
So the back of the body should just have the neck plate. You going a string through bridge or rear bridge plate strings ?

Yhep you got it so far, 'cept thats not a grover bridge, its the PBG hardtail bridge, the grain on the maple neck its some of the best ive seen too.
I'll do more photos soon but yeah the back is plain but for the neck plate. I'm going to be doing a string through for this puppy and a Dingotone burst.
I had my sights set on some new SSS Toneriders, buuuuut, I see that the body rout caters for a humbucker or single coil in either the bridge or neck position so that's just made me think a bit more.

no worries Andy, I meant there is a Grover package below your thumb assume they are Grover tuners ?
I realised the bridge shown is a cheap PBG one, looks similar to the bridge that came with my TL-1TH thinline tele.
Go for a HSH or HSS configuration, you got to have at least one humbucker growl!
