    Looks great, Chuck.

They are single coils, so bound to pick up some hum. Might be worth (if it's not too late) if the middle pup is the same width as the neck one, to use one of those in the neck, as it will be RWRP so will hum cancel in the both pups on position. Middle and neck pups normally have the same DC resistance.

Also, I couldn't see any pictures to show that the body cavities had been shielded with copper tape. If you haven't done it, order a reel of the copper tape and it will make a difference. You've already got a foil shield under the pickguard, so you only need to do the cavities.

Just leave some bits of copper tape on the top surface of the body so that they make contact with the under-pickguard shield. This saves having to solder ground wire to the copper as the pickguard shield is connected to ground via the pot casings.

Here's one I did a few days ago on a friend's old guitar.

Cheers Simon. All the shielding is done as I have on previous builds but I will check when I do the neck pickup replacement that it's all as it should be. I'm sure I'll find something when I open it up though!

Worth getting a multimeter and checking the resistance of the foil all over. I did another Strat where on the underside of the pickguard, everything seemed to be overlapping but the resistance figure was going all over the place. So I just ran an extra single strip crosswise across the rest of the tape and that cured that.

Otherwise, just check all your ground connections first for good solder joints.
