Really nice, I can imagine how.good the quilt looks under the polished finish in real life. Hard to capture in a photo.

    Looking very good.

You need a diffuse light to take good guitar pictures - no direct lighting. A bright but overcast day is a good start, as this really helps cut down on bright reflections. You need to get creative, go into full photographer mode and come up with lights reflecting off walls and ceilings, or hanging up white sheets all around.

Often better to get further away and use a zoom lens (if you are using a camera rather than a phone). Wide angle-lenses used close-up, do distort the image. A tripod also helps as you can use slower shutter speeds and bigger F-stop (depths of field) settings, or work in lower light levels.

A complimentary colour background can help to highlight the colours in the guitar.

How is the clearance on the A & B tuners as well? They look like they will be very close to the edge as well.

    Close to home now...

I've done a bit of soldering (or sodering as the mercins call it) so this bit wasn't too daunting.

I whipped up a jig from some perspex laying about and got to it.

    Thanks Wok and Dave.

I've not done the setup yet. I figure I need to let the neck settle under tension before mucking about with relief and action etc. Still it does sound good so far. I had to correct the bridge earthwire connection which has fixed the hum I was getting.
