Thread: screw on neck fit

    Question screw on neck fit

Just wondering if anyone can help me with this question. I just set the screw on neck to my LP1 build. It sits off the body a bit on the top of the guitar, but is fitting snugly into the cut out in the body. Is this the way its supposed to fit? Thanks, Kim

Kim, are you able to post a pic of the fit? It doesn't sound like a problem but one of the members may be able to confirm from a visual.

Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.

Note that there's a limit on pixel and file size on uploaded images. Go to 'go advanced' on the post page, then click on 'manage attachments' and that gives the sizes (varies depending on file type).

    Hi Kim
I have been through the same issue with my LP-1MQ.
There are photos on my build diary. Greg's First Build -LP-1MQ.
I am a new member and haven't worked out how to put the link on.

I think all is alright with your guitar although I am not at the assembly stage yet. But you will find on my diary photos sent to me by Dedman of his finished LP and it has the raised fretboard. I was happy after getting the photos. I was definitely as worried as you are.

Good luck with the build. The members of this forum are a fantastic help so keep in touch with what you are up to.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I did try attaching photos but it didn't work. i"ll try again. Sounds like i've got the neck right, though.

It's almost always the size of the photo that messes that up. jpgs are limited to 1500 pixels on the longest side or 976kB in size. Almost any camera/phone picture these days will be bigger. If you haven't got a photo editor that can change the image size, it may be easier to host them on another site e.g. Photobucket, and then do a web link to the pictures. Again, if there are display size options, limit the maximum width to 1500 pixels.
