After doing the J Bass a while back it got me thinking about rounding off square edges, more for comfort but also for aesthetics too. On the Swampy Tele I purposefully dialled in a more Strat style rounded edging and it looks and feels great. Can't wait to finish re-finishing so I can put it all together and start playing.

With the neck seating on your Behemoth from memory the Bass neck's bridge placement is not pre-determined however on the 6 stringer side of things it looks like the post holes come pre-drilled. This suggests caution is required to avoid compromising scale length and end up with intonation issues. Looks like there is some overhang past those 22 frets on each board which should help cover up things at the deep end of the neck pocket.

When is the "Stork" due to arrive at your place? Bet you are dying to see your new baby, err, umm, guitar kit.

Now that is a technique to try...thank you.

Thanks mate & look forward to catching up with you.

With the TO application I usually do all sides at the same time....lay it flat to do that side and then wipe around the edges...then carefully hang it up and wipe on the dry side yet to be coated. For the next coat I swap the sides and start on the one that was done last. This is a bit of a pain but helps to reduce thick build ups along the edges which tend to end up in runs or blobs that eventually need to be sanded off.

    Cheers, Waz

    And it begins. :)

This evening my job focussed Aussie Post Parcel contractor delivered me a kit at 5.30 p.m. Nice man.

She is in the house. The big girl has arrived.

I got the kit, the Tone Rider Rocksong Black Humbucker Bridge pickup, and we await the new shipment of Grover tuners.

Sanding, and sanding, and sanding can begin.

Wazkelly dropped in on his way home from work too. It was great to put a face to the name. I am afraid I can talk under water and we chatted way too long. Nice bloke and has some great tips...especially for sanding and finishing. We shall meet again......actually for the PBG people in the area of the South East corner of Queensland we should do that.

Here are some arrival unboxing piccies. ooooh happy GAS sufferer here.

It could be worse, I spent virtually the entire weekend making MDF templates for routing cavities in a Blank TL body. MDF dust goes EVERYWHERE.

There's nothing quite like getting a parcel in the mail, but I reckon that one must've taken the cake. Can't wait to see how this progresses
