Thanks!
Spent a fun afternoon with my 9 year old drawing random guitar shapes on cardboard... then my wife picked her favourite and sketched out the final shape.
Anyway, staying on topic - I'm finding the Ironbark looks awesome as a fret board - got that for free from a local timber recycler (in Canberra). I bought the body pieces and he threw in the fret board as it was some random old floorboard that he didn't think he could sell. He even thinned it down for free. The iron bark has a nice wavy pattern going up the board.
For reference, the brush box body and neck was about $80 or $90 I think. It had been a support beam in a warehouse, then demolished, nail detected, cut, dressed, etc.
