For the pickups i'm not sure if i should pick the Tonerider Alnico 2 or Rocksong...
I'm wondering if the AC2 won't be too similar to the P90.
Has any of you tried mixing Rebel90 or P90 with humbuckers before?
Also not sure if i should get a bridge or neck pickup for the middle pickup...
Any advice?

Gibbo uses 2 Neck 490's and 1 Bridge 490 which have a decent amount of bite and tone.
Suggest going on the Tone Rider website as under some of the PUP's featured there are video sound clips as per this link for their Alnico IV's.... http://www.tonerider.com/alnico-iv
These are the ones I chose for my EX-1 as the sound seemed to be not too bright and not too muddy either but still ballsy when compare to Alnico II's that sounded more like PAF's.

Received a set of flat HB pick up rings and the neck one works perfectly for the middle pickup.
Same height as the SD Triple Shots, and the spacing of the pickup routes is just perfect!
Pickups are now ordered from PBG. 2x Tonerider AC2 and 1x rebel90... all gold.
I've also received the Gotoh tuners and the long thread jack.
Should be able to do a mock up build this weekend!

gee that's tight Fred but looks like the 3 pups will fit - just ! Was the middle pup cavity done by the factory or DB ?
Better double check with the neck in place
Loving the mahogany body, I could do with a cherry red one of these in my collection !

Was done by the factory. The neck shouldn't cause any issues as there's a fair bit of space between neck pickup and fretboard.
I actually have to find a neck tenon plate or something like that. It's the trapeze shaped plate that the SGs without full pickguard have. Some are engraved.
But will definitely check all fits together this weekend!

The neck pickup is too tight, so I reckon i'll have to take a few mm off the end of the neck tenon but should be okay:
Now waiting on the 6x way switch and the gold tremolo!
