    Not to mention the inevitable thread-jacking that will occur, I'm fine with that though.

    Haha.......yeah it looks like it, there's not a whole lot I can do about it because, well, it's a forum, so I just have to accept that it's going to happen regardless.

    Update:

    This coming Tuesday I'm going to be buying some stuff so that I can finally get the Custom HotRod Strat body finished, now there's going to be some revisions to what I have planned for this particular guitar build, here's what I'm planning on doing now:

    * Install a Black Schaller Lockmeister Floyd Rose Bridge and Locking-Nut (Chrome ones are currently out of stock, hence the change to Black).

    * Install a set of Black Tuners.

    * Install either a White, or White Pearloid Scratchplate/Pickguard.

    * Install 3 Black Knobs (Volume and two Tones).

    * Install a Black Pickup Selector-Switch Tip.

    * Install a Chrome 4-Screw Neck Plate.

    * Install a Black, or White Trem Spring cover.

    * Install a set of Ernie Ball Strap Locks.

    * Install a Chrome Output Jack Plate.

    Body Finish:

    The body finish is still going to be a solid Metallic Blue colour, but will be clear-coated with some White Knight Clear Gloss Lacquer.

    Neck:

    I'm still going to be using the same 22-Fret Rosewood Mighty Mite neck I was originally planning to use.

    Pickups:

    I've decided to do some shopping around for some decent-quality pickups to install in my Custom Hotrod Strat, I'm still going with a Humbucker/Single-Coil/Single-Coil configuration, if any of you guys would like to post your recommendations for pickups, please feel free to do so.

    Update:

    I think I have figured out which type of pickups I will install in my HotRod Strat, I'm seriously thinking of going with a set of Seymour Duncans, how does this sound to you, guys?:

    Neck Pickup: Seymour Duncan SCR-1N Cool Rails Strat Neck.

    Middle Pickup: Seymour Duncan SCR-1N Cool Rails Strat Neck.

    Bridge Pickup: Seymour Duncan TB-6 Duncan Distortion Trembucker.

    Just so you can get an idea, this pic is the closest to what I want to achieve with my Custom HotRod Strat build, just picture it with black hardware, pickups, tuners, white Pearloid Scratchplate, and black knobs, in your mind and that will pretty much nail it:

    Okay, I've got the Metallic Blue spray paint I'm going to use to spray paint the HotRod Strat body, here's a pic so you can see the colour:

    I also have some Maple Timbermate which I'll be using as the grain-filler on the body, prior to coating it with wood primer and spray painting it....progress is being made.

    good stuff Doc, it's a pretty greyish blue (going by the cap colour) , good thing is you can change the colour as you go as it's a bit different to the blue colour above. Just stick to the same brand/type of paint

    I agree, it's a bit of a grey-ish blue kind of colour, I really tried very hard to find a good Metallic Blue but that's the only one they had in stock that was suitable for use on wood, not to worry cause it does work with a white, or white Pearloid Scratchplate, it might go a bit darker with the clear coating though.
