Thought I better get a start on my build thread. I'm ordering the LP-1S kit with black hardware tonight, looking to go with a jade green top/Black Ink back. My inspiration is attached below to show you what I'm going for.
Disclaimer - I'm a Noob at everything involved in this project, so expect some(**Many!!) questions coming your way.
While this is my first build, I plan on taking it slow and easy. I'm not an electric guitar player, and I don't have an amp at this stage, but I seriously want to have a crack at this build.
So I better get some questions started.
I see lots of references to Naughty Oil, True Oil, Dingo Oil etc. The last two I can understand, but what is Naughty oil, and do I get into trouble just for asking this??!!
Solder - Never even attempted this before, so can someone please recommend a type, plus do I require flux? I'm assuming a wiring diagram will come with the kit?
In regards to finish, I have some very limited experience in this. I built our dining table, and bench seats to go with it, and used a black stain on them which I bought from the big green shed(Are we not allowed to mention this place either??!!) I used a clear coating on this, I'll add the details later when I get home as I'm technically cheating at work!!
