Yeah the gloss makes it a bit hard to photo, you can actually see the spalting quite well in person. I did consider shaping the headstock, but I decided to keep the stock shape on this because the LP has that classic acoustic figure 8 shape and I wanted to stick to that acoustic feel by keeping the headstock square like you see on many acoustics.

Hi everyone, just thought I would add another picture of my LP-1SS, it doesn't have strings on it yet but it was before I waxed it so it shows the spalting more accurately than the other photos.

Mark H's "Esquire" TL-1Q:

"I started with the TL-1Q kit. The binding and the maple veneer seemed a novelty. I wanted to pay homage to the "Original " the ESQUIRE. Unfortunately the kit didn't come with a maple fret board. I threw caution to the wind and chose Dingotone green to give it an old Vintage look. The pick up is from Ace Guitars, there own " Vintage " brand that really gives a 50's sound."

pretty cool looking tele Mark, it really does have a vintage look. The quilting is subtle but looks great in the green

Here is my custom 12-string STA-1 kit, finished in Dingotone Blackstump & Outback Sunset and Colourless Neck finish. Tonerider Surfaris, Wilkinson tuners, Bourns pots, Orange drop Caps, Gibson style switches from Realparts. It uses the wiring schematic from a Gibson Explorer III.
