I've got a pile of NSW spotted gum that could well be coaxed into action, also plan a chambered Tele from it as well

Would a pic of our upstairs floor do I've got a couple of lengths around the 4m mark and a handful around 1m, sadly no off cuts from the steps because that timber was thick enough to not need lamination but having said that it is very heavy so chambers are essential

More interested in getting 8 wickets to make an association total of 900 or 7 to be the most destructive for my club.

Sadly my team mates choose not to catch well when I have the ball so I think 892 is where it will end, the mind has finally come to grips with the fact I struggle to get over 120 now and nowhere near the 150+ of years gone by.

Just have to drive fast cars and guitars instead

Hey Bruce I have to thank you mate, you have inspired me to build a similar lap steel but mine will be a baritone scale. I am hoping it will sound like a baritone guitar with heavier strings and a lower tune. Just want to try it out. I have glued the neck through piece together and after some sanding will glue the wings on and route the tuner post cavities. I'll post some pics soon !

    Balsa wood ,
    Don't laugh ...
It was cheap , the right colour and easy to trim up.
