I thought so too, however, one draw back I think (wherever the strap lock) is that the sheer weight of 18 tuners outweigh the whole guitar.

You can also use one of the neck plate screws for the strap button

With the Second Mock build, I wanted to check the bridge and the mileage on the fret board on the outside of the strings.

I used ye ol' plastic tubing trick to keep the bridges and the stop tailpieces in place.

Pretty good real estate on either side of the E strings....

    Mock Wiring

I say "mock wiring" but I spent a lot of Easter wiring up this bad boy.

I found many wiring diagrams. You can't really use the Gibson diagrams as they are only for 2 switches. The PBG Kit follows the Epiphone design, which has three swicthes.

This is one that Wokks was going by.....

    I redrew it

But, in the end, for simplicity, I used another forum member's diagram.

The benefit of this style wiring is that it is a lot less complicated, there is a only maximum of 9 wires running through the 6 string Bridge pup rout. The draw back is that only one volume and one tone knob is dedicated to the 12 string and one volume and one tone knob is dedicated to the 6 string.

On that note (its not shown clearly on the diagram) but you have to make sure that the wires from the 12 string switch (or 6 string switch) are going to the correct tone and volume pots that you want to use. (ie the pot placing in that diagram is if you are looking down on the front of the guitar. Remember when you are actually wiring those pots the guitar will be flipped over and the pots will be the opposite way.) Yes, I made that mistake.

After a one attempt and a few adjustments, each pup, switch and pot were working perfectly.

Sorry I should say that the PBG wiring diagram is also really great, but I followed the other one so that the pups are eartched to teh switch rather than running more wires down to the pots.

I need to make a decision as to where to move the Jack hole because it can't stay there.

By the way the PBG switches that I have are not inversely proportionate to the lugs.... I guess I was just used to the CLR switches

If you don't bump it Wokks, it doesn't touch, but its a Bees nethers away from the pot and the cap. I think I would prefer to move the jack hole in between the two tone pots and plug the old one.
