Thread: Non-PBG Mockingbird. From Scratch.

  1. #71
Oof ok, so I got a bit sick this week and didn't get in to actually do any work, but the upside is my Pickups should be shipping tomorrow. Aaron (the main guy from Blackwater Guitars) was also kind enough to offer a routing template for them too! As well as a couple of pics

Oh, I hadn't actually said before either, I went for their Dirt Wizards because of their pretty tame output, but I know they can for sure handle the distortion nicely too, from the clips I've heard. There's a bunch of clips here for the dirty stuff, I'll record some cleans for sure when it's all done:

I know it's not much of an update, but I'm keen as heck!!

Maybe you can sneak a little Tequila into the Finish, then you can call it a Tequila Mockingbird....

I'm sure it was lost in all the other buzzwords I ended up adding to the description

Tequila Mockingbird. I like it! Haha!

And thanks for all the kind words everyone, as always

I'm not sure man. I would say 6/8 weeks from this Friday most likely, but that's assuming no delays or anything. Which, let's be honest, will probably happen.

its hard to put a finish date on a scratchy B'Lark, too many variables !

fingers crossed you can finish in 6-8 weeks. Don't ever rush any step/stage for the sake of getting sound out of it !
