    Rca-4

Ordered my RCA-4, and it arrived safely in the UK. Had a slight issue with the neck joint (neck was sitting too low in the body meaning even with the bridge saddles bottomed out action was too high) but managed to get around this by using a router to recess the bridge (fitted a high mass bridge in the end). Stained the body red mahogany with a light dusting of clear nitrocellulose laquer.

Souced some great pickups from Retrovibe, and fabricated a bridge surround and pickup plate from mirrored perspex (waiting for the bridge pickup to arrive and a square shueld). Temporarily fitted the original neck pickup in the bridge position whilst routing the bridge pickup cavity to fit tge new pickup. It sounds bloody epic, will upload a sound demo when I get chance
