Hey, Frankie. Don't forget that soldering irons are hot, so be careful. Hope that helps.

And I have recently discovered that vintage cloth push back wire is the best to use as you don't need to worry about stripping it back.

I agree, Waz. I like the solid stuff so you can bend and mould it to shape - especially on guitars where you're wiring on a pickguard so you don't need to move or fit a harness into the body afterwards.

PBG has it in 500mm lengths for $1.50 each whilst Real Parts is $0.90 for 30mm (1 foot) or $17 for 25 Feet = 7.5m therefore PBG still comes out cheaper and in a more useful length.

Thanks Waz, have some on order now with some more dingotone. That should see the FrankenWashie wired and howling and the TL and IB-Freebie smooth and shiny.

    The FrankenWashie is dead....

It is finally in one piece! It has strings and it works!
This was originally going to have a set of SD Black Winter in it, but those have been allocated to the Cliche Black LP.
The Entwistles are nice and bright clean, and get very angry when poked with overdrive and distortion.
(I can't do sound demo as I don't have the facility and with my playing y'all should be thankful for that)
There are some tidy ups to do, like black screws for the pup rings, still have to sort a TRC and I may yet strip out the pots for something better. But even with out the locking nut it seems to hold tune better than any other FR equipped axe I've owned/played. Very happy and loud FrankenLab last night!

No, the neck is from a Washburn MG42 I had back in the day, the body is completely scratch, was originally solid Matai, now a laminate of Matai, Merbau and Vic Ash.
