Doc so what do you want to call yourself on the headstock logo ? Dr Nomis Guitars or something like that ?
I'd think of a shape or object you like and play around with some fonts for the name.
    Have a play on paint/word.
Another tip do some research on the gold paint. I used White Knight super gold ($22/can from the Big green shed) on my gold tele and used the same brand White Night clear gloss and the gold went really dull

Yeah, I was thinking of going with DrNomis Guitars, with the "DrNomis" placed just above the "Guitars", and then "Gold Standard Strat" in a running-writing style of font underneath it, and then next to it an image of a mad scientist as my logo concept but if anyone can come up with something better that's cool.

The "Super Gold" on that beer bottle would look cool, maybe if I left the front of the headstock natural maple and then did the logo in gold, then clear coated it that would probably look cool.

That White Knight clear coat you used, was it a Satin finish or a Gloss?, because I used a can of White Knight Acrylic Gloss clear coat on two of my pedal builds with good results, I used a Sky blue Acrylic spray paint to paint the pedals before clear coating them, and both the paint and clear coat were bought from the green shed, I sprayed about 4 coats of the clear coat on the pedals.

have a play around with your logo Doc while you wait for the kit to arrive. I think your idea will look great. Maybe a line pic of a mad scientist.
I've done my gold tele headstock in the same gold paint, need to do a couple more coats. The back of the neck will be natural

Will do mate, I'm going to clear coat the neck and leave the maple it's natural colour rather than stain it amber like some members have done, when it comes to the fretboard, should I leave it un-finished or see if I can clear coat it too?

so it will be a maple fingerboard ? don't put a clear coat on. Use Dingowax or Dr Ducks wax or some natural oil like orange oil

No worries, I'll add some Dingowax to my shopping list then, always wanted to give Dingowax a try after seeing it mentioned a few times in some other threads.

Doc/Tony here is a pic of my latest batch of vinyl logos, you peel off the backing paper and push onto the headstock, rub a rag over then the application tape comes off.
