Thanks guys. Almost done with the refinishing on this one as there were a few rough bits that needed touching up. Not sure I will get much of an opportunity before Easter as I am waiting on curing time and we are heading over to NZ for 10 day holiday break next week. Hope to have the final polish done around Anzac Day and then reattach everything.

looks great Waz, is it the angle of the pic it looks more green than blue in the earlier pics ? I didn't read all the text. Are they Wilkinson pups and how do they sound ?

Hi Woks, as it has aged the TO seems to have sent it a bit more greenish, particularly on back and sides whilst the top is still quite an aqua to turquoise colour. Might take some shots in natural daylight on Sunday and post the progress.

The Wilkinsons do sound OK but don't have anything else done to compare them with until I also finish the Swampy Tele as there are some Tonerider Hot Classics waiting to be installed in that build.

Can't wait to play them back to back to see if there is much of a difference.

cool no worries Waz thanks for that. I like the new colour suits the tele well. I think the Tonerider hot classics should sound great !

Latest progress shots whilst waiting for finish to cure......


Bottom left corner on indoor shots is just a reflection off the garage floor. Still not quite a true representation of the colour as there is a bit of a greenish tinge but the outside shots are the closest.

That colour looks great Wazkelly, should look cool once the guitar is all finished.

Reassembled this build earlier tonight and took some more indoor shots.......so hard to capture the exact colour of this guitar as these were all taken at the same time with 3rd & 4th shots using the carpet floor as a background. Will need to wait until there is some good natural sunlight to do the final glamour shots as this baby is as good as done now (at last).

Nice fine day earlier today and took plenty of photos trying to capture the exact colour of this guitar. Apologies for multiple shots but this was almost like a chameleon as it appears to change colours against different backgrounds and whether direct sunlight or filtered sunlight.
