    Hi Infxual,
    nice build love the darker stain really suits well. Is there a gap between the control cavity and the cover ?
    Current Builds and status
    scratch end grain pine tele - first clear coat on !
    JBA-4 - assembled - final tweaks
    Telemonster double scale tele - finish tobacco burst on body and sand neck

    Completed builds
    scratch oak.rose gum Jazzmaster - assembled needs setup
    MK-2 Mosrite - assembled - play in
    Ash tele with Baritone neck - neck pup wiring tweaks and play in

    You nailed the 'rustic burst'. Just like a antique french oak wood chest slab made into a bass. Nice work.

    Thanks for feedback! That's not a gap, its a little groove so you can get your fingernail under the backplate. its such tight fit. i just wanted to add a little quirky feature to it too.

    I love Hutchinson Concept guitars ( look em up if you haven't heard of them. They can make guitars that look like they have been made from the deck of an ancient viking ship! that was the inspiration for the stain, that and i love making boring pale wood look cool,
