Ahhh.. That is normal. These Guitars are meant to look like that, I know it seems strange but if you were to have the neck block shorter or the pocket rout deeper, there would be an even greater problem at the bridge due to the rather steep break angle.
    Hope that makes sense..

There is always a workaround for glitches, mistakes and other Guitar building gremlins.....

    It's Done!!!! Well almost

    Hi guys,

I am pleased to say that after long delays and worries regarding the neck. I have finally finished my build. I still need to replace the nut and make sure the height is correct. Right the action is a little higher than I would like it but I had planned to replace the nut to a bone nut anyway.

I would like to thank everyone who has provided me with sound advice, recommendations and guidance throughout this first build.

This forum is awesome and I am truly grateful for all the help I got.

Long speech over, here are some pictures....

well done Dekka the build come up a treat. Love how the grain is still very visible with the black stain.
Are they standard fret markers or have you put them on ?
can't go wrong with the trapeze bridge you won't have the problems of the 3 point bridge others have had
