Been pretty quiet for a while, but still ghosting the site every now and then!
Thought I'd share a couple of videos from the Ulverstone Brass Band Xmas concert where not only am I a member, but was also listed as guest artist.
Here is my first ever solo out the front of the band playing Minnie the Moocher on the Bass Trombone!
Lots of stuff ups in the first moments, but I finished fairly strong!

Thought I'd share the reason there isn't a build progressing at the moment.

I've been trying to get this done in time to enter the Toowoomba show. "The Traveller" (920mm x 620mm) is my mum in law who has been to some of the weirdest and most inaccessible places on the planet. She is currently on a 9 month jaunt that kicked off on Easter Island, right now she is in Boliva.

March 20th for entries in fine arts I think, but then you have until April to deliver. I just figured if I didn't knuckle down and do it I'd end up missing it, so put all the guitar stuff away for a bit, link if you are interested:

It's acrylic and house paint. I tend to use what ever is handy, but I got a huge bag of acrylics for Christmas. They are glossier than I'd normally use and almost fluorescent, which was fun. I usually use pretty bold colourings.

Excellent! and she looks pretty happy with it all...not just an elaborate ploy to escape her son-in-law eh?

Well to be fair I don't think she was super impressed when I knocked up her Daughter at the age of 22 while she was still finishing uni, but I think she's come around now.
