My sister has seen what I have been doing with guitar building and has decided she needs one of her own. From me.

So with no actual builds fully completed, I started one for her - standard LP kit.

After much ado over colours we settled on : Candy Purple... and black hardware.

She does nothing by halves, so major hardware upgrade.

I ordered an LP kit with DBs masterful neck work and bone nut - well worth the $.

Once again a painted guitar from me, I must reserve my naughty room seating...

I learnt my lesson from last time, and always mask up the binding. You don't have to, but it makes my life easier.

Black back and neck, purple candy front.

Good things come to those with the internet:

All the things I've heard about Babicz hardware are true - this is top notch stuff and I cant wait to put it on:

And some nice Gotoh tuners - quite simply awesome bang for buck, very nice quality and finish

Off to a great start Stan. I totally agree, careful masking is worth the effort.

thanks guys, flame was quite good on this one, but her heart was set on a solid colour, I tried

Purple on, very patchy still (photos look a lot better than it is), but you get the idea

Oh and this guy is curing, dont want clamps on the paint just yet...

I really like your colour scheme a lot. I reckon all purple would maybe be a bit much, but the black back/sides cut back the glitz & impart real character.
Can't wait to see it finished now.

Wow... talking about cramming her full of goodies, should be a beast! Nice colour choice too Stan. Hey just out of curiosity what's it cost to get the man to tizzy up the fret board for ya?
