    IB-6S Finished.
After actually playing this beast I'm sure that there will be many posts to follow.....it's awesome!!!

    Specifics as follows:

. Body front : Feast Watson Golden Teak
. Body back : Feast Watson Brown Japan
. Body clear : Cabot's clean polyurethane gloss (8 coats)
. Freatboard : Dunlop 65 ultimate lemon oil
. Neck : Cabot's clear matt (then sanded with 0000 steel wool)
. Tone Monster SBK-3 active electronics.

    Build time.... 1 month.

Apart from the electronics everything is standard. The build was straight forward however the nut setup took a lot of work. It needed to be taken off, filed and cleaned. There is some strange shim stuff and gunk under the nut which needs to be removed. The fretboard portion under the nut also needs the same attention.

This build was a journey of discovery so any questions i'll be more than happy to pass on what I've found.

With the tone monster gear in place and time taken to set up the IB-6S properly....this thing ROARS!!!!

beautifully done, you should be proud as punch to display this. Are you going to enter it into the guitar of the month ?
Thanks for that AJ. I think I might submit for GOTM. Have to get some better pics though. Here is a pic of the headstock.

just completed my IB-6S, cap and headstock stained with wudtone amber, body back/sides Feast Watson jarrah stain and neck cleared. SBK-3 pre-amp harness has been installed, giving a wide range of sounds.
I'm still waiting for the stacked concentric knob to arrive.
