Hand crafting guitars, because Death Rays are expensive.

Ankle is recovering nicely, but you wouldn't think so looking at photos!!

First photo is from Wednesday night, the second is from last night. Ankle is still quite swollen, and tender to the touch in some areas, but walking is not much of an issue anymore, I spent about 1/2hr last night walking around town waiting on the wife to finish work, included a small hill to push myself and find the limit. Pulled up well this morning.
Changing direction still bites though, so I still need to keep in mind where I'm placing my feet.

Yep, know how that feels. Done that numerous times to each ankle.

Looks rather broken to me. I broke a metatarsal in my foot about 15 years ago and the bruising looked similar (though a larger area was affected). Maybe there's a crack that didn't show up on the x-ray?

Hey Zandit, hope your ankle heals up soon mate!!!

That reminds me of the time I did something similar to one of my ankles when I was a kid I jumped up in the air and when I came back down I landed awkwardly on the side of my right foot, it was the worst pain I had ever felt in my whole life, couldn't move an inch for a few minutes afterwards.

Here's hoping there isn't. I injured my left ankle many years back, and the swelling did hide a break, but this time around, because there was less swelling, I'm pretty confident this is not a break. Last time around I was on crutches for several weeks, and could barely put any weight on it. As I mentioned before, I'm walking fine, no real issues with movement, except when I try to rotate with the foot still on the ground. I'll start physio once the swelling goes down. I've already started working on my balance with that foot, and it seems to be holding up fine.
    Thanks for the concern though!

Yeah, it's a killer! I was laid out flat in the middle of the gym for several minutes while everyone else continued sparring practice!
I ended up dragging myself off to the side with the help of the instructor and sat there with an ice pack on the ankle for about 20mins before eventually strapping it, and getting up on my feet to head to the hospital.

Should be interesting to see how much this all adds up to!

Course - $3,850 - Includes standard hard case(I booked before this was changed to an optional extra) and Cutaway
Flight TAS to QLD - $140
Flight QLD to TAS - $324.80
Pickup - $466 - Fishman Matrix Infinity Mic Blend.
    Case Upgrade to a Hiscox - $200
Accommodation - $715 - Got a great place on AirBnB just around the corner from the course!
Food & General Expenses - TBA

Total Running Cost - $5695.80 and counting!
I've updated this post from the front page. Got the Hiscox case locked in, and it worked out to be a little dearer than first estimated.
Everything is rolling along on schedule. Final payments being made this week, so accommodation, flights, and the course will be fully paid for.

I spoke with Aaron the other day, and apparently he has some nice Blackwood sets on the way which will arrive in time for the course.
There's still a chance that I'll find something completely different that will totally confuse me at the last second, but that happens!

I also inquired about the black abalone shell that I posted a photo of earlier. He has more coming in, and if it arrives in time for the course, I'm welcome to use it in my build, but he did mention that he orders it in a specific diameter, which may not work with my rosette. From my research, the sound hole varies depending on the size of body used, which in turn, affects the rosette diameter. It may not look aesthetically pleasing.

    Thanks for following!
