Was a spur of the moment purchase after I was made a generous offer on my Squier PBass.
It's Here!!!!!.
And its Brilliant...
Everything Bassguy said about this Bass is Spot On. It plays nicely right out of the box. With a good Solid Clean Bottom end and plenty of Brightness to cut through the mix. Mids are solid and well defined.
The action is a little high but a bit of tweaking is not only fun and aids in the bonding process, but you'd expect that from any new guitar or bass.
Frets are all pretty much set and even, to my eye which is more than I can say for many store bought offerings I have seen in higher price brackets.
I had been looking at upgrading the Pickups but I think I'll stick with these for now, they sound great, plenty of output and drive.
There is a tiny bit of noise when using one pickup. But I reckon I can iron that out with a bit of shielding. I think its more the power in my house as other guitars have done the same....
So the goal of my original project was to take a P Bass and make it sound like a J Bass. I think I have achieved that, if not the way I had originally planned.
Very Happy.......
Thanks, of course to Adam for the quick turn around and excellent service.
