Hi Greg, i have done that in the past and on this one added just a few drops of turps to thin it down a little bit as still needed to add thickness to sacrifice in the final polish. 50:50 can be a bit wet and prone to introducing runs. The few drops method probably created more like 90:10 mix where up to 3rd coat after the last wet sand it looked really smooth and glassy.
Did the micro mesh stuff again last night together with Meguiars. Did the frets & fret board earlier tonight and will do another Meguiars after the game.
Wiring & assembly tomorrow night and hope it is all smooth sail from here.

Is there any particular type of meguiars you use Waz? I'm approaching that point myself now (having fixed last week's error).

Hi Ozzie, wired everything up outside the body late last night and then realized pot holes and bridge & stop tail piece holes were too small and spent ages delicately enlarging them. Have put the bushings in the freezer hoping that will help when i try to install them after work tonight. Reckon i will have about 60-90 minute window before my son and intended owner arrives. Here's hoping all goes smoothly.

Can I suggest the fish tank air hose approach....I saw it ages ago in a Build by Gav Turner.

The air hose cut to long lengths pushed over each pot..switch...socket and then each piece of hose poked up through the holes....then pull them into place.

After 10 weeks it was finally finished today whilst junior was out for lunch with one of his mates. Just finished stringing it up when I heard to come home.

Happy Birthday Mitch, even though it is one month early as we can't be with you in NZ on the day.
