473 = 0.047uF
223 = 0.022uF

Referencing my Dobro, the tailpiece corner sits flush on the corner of the front face, It do that on my kit, the pointed end protrudes an unacceptable amount. It may require some fettling.

On my other resonator the tail piece is resting on the top plate but has a felt pad between the plate and the tail piece, you definitely need to get it as low as possible to get the tension over the bridge.
Re: sound holes just for show..Not on my version, it has a resonator that will resonate regardless of any connection to an amp and a hollow body that will no doubt give is some acoustic properties....time for a cup of tea...now where did I put the tea strainer....

Have you checked the depth of the cutout for the cone?
Both FrankenWashie and I have (been forced) cut the bottom out of the main body timber exposing a cavity between said timber and the ply back. This increase in volume should help acoustically.
