SCA clear as per Phrozin's recommendation.

It wasn't all smooth sailing though. I copped a few blobs a couple of times causing what look like runs. I am hopeful that I have enough clear coat to sand it all out. Fingers crossed. Now I have to wait - again. I hate watching paint dry.

Thanks mate. I still have a long way to go, but I am quite pleased so far. It's not perfect, but never really is. As long as I can wow my family I am happy.

Oh brilliant. Yeah, just leave it for a good week to get nice and hard and then it will cut back fine. You can always cut back 50% and then spray another run of clear over it. That stuff blends really well. If you put a fan on it that will help a lot, but the longer you leave it the better.

It will be worth being patient. This is going to be a killer looking guitar.

Absolutely beautiful. Great job mate. I'd leave it for a month. Patience and care is required here. You can always muck around with the neck, headstock design and electronics while you wait. Applying the copper tape to the back of the control plate, wiring the switches and pots, or just sitting back and admiring. New ideas can also come that way, like a 4 way switch or pickup options.

Thanks for the advice. I might take my time on this. There is plenty to do.

Beautiful pictures; I can't wait to see how this turns out when you get to sanding & polishing. That blue is amazing, especially with the ebony in the grain
