Hi everyone just thought I would say hi and thanks. I am starting my first ever build with an ES-1G kit. Which I have started a build diary for. I'm very impressed with this forum and how helpful the members seem to be. Keep up the awesome work!

Hi Steeley welcome to the forum and we are a fantastic community who help each other from experience and making mistakes on the way that we try and help others avoid ! Take your time and you will end up with a great looking and sounding guitar. Best tip I can give you for these veneered kits are the flame maple is generally very thin so keep sanding on the top to a minimum. When you get to the wiring stage we will help out as all the electronics have to fit through the F hole.
Best of luck. Any idea what stain colours you may use ?
Also wipe a damp clean rag over the top and make sure there are no glue spots.
