Thanks simon the plan is to stain black to pop the grain sand back and white wash could look good could look bad
I must say that im quite excited that I've got this far and biultt his out of a few slabs of wood. What ive learnt is in valuable about guitars and unless you attempt something like it you will never learn it, this is no means by the strech of the imagination a good guitar, its big learning curve. But dam its fun
Oops, viewing via phone and all i could see was the solid contrast at base of tailpiece. Chrome with black is what i should have said.

On the basis of those two pictures I’d have to agree. Normally I would prefer not to have black hardware on a wood grain guitar, so maybe it just the lighting of those pictures.

a bit of dingo wax on the fretboard befor taping it up for finishing the body and its looks a treat, also stuffed up the machine head holes so had to plug them before trying again
