    Wired up most of the wiring harnesses tonight just waiting on the jsck plug to turn up and a final set up

    Apparently 3 beers is better pain reilief for solder iron burns than 2 panadol

    Swear words swear words swear words, had every thing working and like the usual with these guitars something went amiss getting it into the f holes and only one pickup working. Try again tomorrow i dont have the patience to pul it all out tonight

    Yes I have been there with the semi hollow Lp kit I did, frustrating! Very wise to give it a while before coming back to it...

    That’s a real pain that,happened twice on my es-3 and I decided to upgrade the wiring and add some heat shrink tubing to hold them all together.
    Build-1 ES-3 June 2016 GOTM.
    Build-2 IB-1S
    Build-3. ES-12G June 2019 GOTM.
    Build-4 Gene Simmons axe bass. 43 year project done.
    Build-5. TL-1S May 2021 GOTM joint winner.

    Yep the others all took 3 goes to get it right. This one went in all so easy which makes me think ive got an earth touching the bridge active

    Stick a lead in, then use a multimeter on the end of the lead and it should tell you if you've got a broken wire (open circuit) or a signal taken to ground (short circuit). It helps to know what you're looking for when you take it all out again. But if it all looks OK, I'd suggest checking the 3-way switch as I've had similar switches go faulty and short one or both pickup signals to ground.
