Love that finish Sonic. Good luck with the minor tweaks required to complete this one.

Cheers Djefster, yeah I'm fairly happy with the finish. You can see the slight orange peel in this shot, but its really not very noticeable. It's also unpolished, so the degree of depth and shine out of the can is really good. I think with a bit more practice I could get a better result, but this will do. There are a number of minor imperfections in this build so I'm not to precious about it.

Had good success plugging the mis drilled holes with skewers, strings now run evenly down the neck. I was a bit slack with pics, but this is where I'm at. I just need a bridge pickup and a jack plate and I can wire it up and get back to the Kraken/Steampunk bass.

Heh, it does a bit. Definitely a bit different for me, although it has turned out not a dissimilar colour to my hagstrom, I was trying to expand the colour palette a bit. I guess at least sonically it will fill a slot in the line up.

Tonerider Bridge PU and a few bits and bobs to finish now ordered. You forget how many little things the kit packs come with, string trees, strap buttons etc etc.....
