Sweet finish on that one. Nice work.
Oh, man, you put it together backwards. :p
Seriously, though, nice work. The first one is a great learning experience, and it is a bit of an addiction. I'm working on everything I can find now. :)
Well, dang, and here I thought I was going to win. :)
Nice grain on that ST Frankie. I particularly like how the grain on the neck complements the body. Good call, I'd say, to leave it natural.

Tough competition this month. huh? :p Can't be my build, though. Maybe everyone's just on vacation?
Thanks. The FR was surprisingly easy. I was worried about that. It took a bit of trial and error adjusting of the springs and the claw, to get everything right, but it wasn't the nightmare that I was...

OK, I'll go first with my MM-1Q, lovingly called the Haxis, that I just completed over the weekend. I once wondered if I'd ever finish either of these guitars, now I've gotten them both done within a...
Congrats, Nitro. That was one of the sweetest finishes I've seen. Just like it rolled off a custom shop floor.
BTW, Brendan, I once had the sweet mullet, but never the leopard-skin leggings. :)

And here it is in final form. It looks like a dark red in the sunlight, but it's actually more of a deep purple. Not quite the royal purple I was going for, but I like it. As you can see there are...
Thanks. I got the action down last night, but I'm still not quite happy with how it's playing. Tweaks continue. I also seem to have hit the live wire on my bridge pickup with the soldering iron at...
I should get the second build finished up over the weekend. Found my black bushing for the tuners and got a replacement string block for the Floyd. It's wired, strung and working. I have to sort out...
Pickups for the MM-1 came in yesterday. I got them installed and got sound out of it for the first time. Classic PAFs are a little more laid back than the high output PUs I'm used to. That will take...
I honestly almost didn't post mine after looking at some of the previous entries. Lots of talent and creativity on this forum.
And the competition gets tougher. That double headstock is super cool, and all the options. Yow.
Turning my full attention to the MM-1, I got a good bit done over the weekend. I got the body polished up and buffed. I'm not entirely happy with it, but it's not bad. Neck is on and tuners...
Thanks. Depending on the lighting, it follows the spectrum from a deep navy blue sparkle to a deep purple. With inside lighting, the shades are darker and not so wild, but when you get it in the...
Thinking about an Explorer for my next build (promised myself I'll get the two currently on the bench done first, though). No way would I have the confidence to do that mod. :)
A few more ...

Man, it looks like I picked the wrong month to finish my first guitar. Tough competition. :)
Here she is, though, my JK-1 project that was almost firewood a few months back when I thought the...

Finally got some sunlight yesterday, so here's the finished product. Not perfect, but way better than it has any right to be. :)

The JK-1 was completed this weekend, and has had some good playing time. The issue was with the pickup, but they replaced it, and the new one works great. I still have to drill the strap button...
No wrinkling or bubbling. It really just looks like dirt or grease smeared all over it. I'm thinking Simon is probably right in that it's some sort of reaction with something, whether skin oils or...
