Awesome! It's great news to be a winner amongst all these great builds. Well done to Andy and Peter! I'm so glad I took a chance on building my own guitar. It's been a fantastic experience and the...

Finally finished my 335. The last piece I've been waiting for was the truss cover which took a few weeks to get here.
Upgrades are:
Orange drop caps
Bournes pots
Shielded cable
PBG bone nut...

Hey there Kim. Sorry to here about losing the cap! I did that on my Esb-4 build and it's pretty devastating. I went for a solid colour after I realised that the stain was going to look terrible. It's...
I'm so excited about the $130 I've apparently thrown into the ocean!
Sorry for my bad recommendation fender3x..
Haven't received the hipshot yet. It's still in transit from the states. Apparently they install well on the arch top from what I've read. May need a couple of washers as spacers. I'll keep you...
I agree with Woks. After having my 3point bridge fail for the last time I've had to opt for a hipshot bridge which was quite expensive. There's quite a bit of damage to my finish around the bridge...
Go doc you are nearly there

Haven't done this one but the jm1 diagram looks incomplete. Found this image that may get closer.

And BTW doc it's looking really nice mate. Grain is popping awesomely and the colour is perfect. Waiting the extra time between top coats and you'll have a real gem on your hands! Take it from...
Hey doc I haven't used DT mk2 but from memory I thought it was more like 3 days between top coats? If that's changed from mk1 then go for it but if 3days min drying time is recommended then I'd be...
And thanks Peter, dedman and Gav. I'm thrilled with the finish.

Hey Peter I wish it was as easy as flipping but its beveled on the headstock side. The plastic ones are square but bone nuts that DB makes have a bevel.

Nearly there with this build. Awaiting a righty bone nut from PBG coz I was sent a lefty by accident.
Other than that minor detail I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of next week!9780
So basically all I can say is that the 3 point bridge that comes with this kit is useless! Not happy at all and feel a bit ripped off. Can't get it to stay put and I've tried everything.
So I've...
I would buy a kit version for sure.. Looks great
