Any advice on this control cavity cover problem? Just butcher the pickguard or does anyone know where I can get a cover, plastic or metal to cover the curved cavity??

This shows how the satin dries. I love the look and feel of this finish. Friends keep saying "Gloss it" but I prefer the satin for this project.

Looking good. BTW this is a satin finish so it'll dull down as it dries.
