Oh man, I really love how that's come out. Amazing work dude.
cheers,
Gav.
Thanks guys, it's good to be back that's for sure. Tough love indeed Frankie! It was almost a shame to spoil all that beautiful mahogany. Nah! G-man I never thought about the Freddie likeness - but...
hi guys,
Yes it's me. I'm not dead!
I got back to this build today for an hour or two. I attacked the surface with my dremel and some wire brushes. It's starting to look ok. Maybe. I might need...
Wow Waz! That's a ripper.
I absolutely love that colour and the finish is superb. Great job dude.
cheers,
Gav.
Loving this build sonic, it's absolutely inspiring!

Love this model kit, and love the demo. Great work man!

Gav.
hi guys,
I've been thinking about this build for quite a while now. What I really wanted to achieve was something along the lines of the Jim Root sandblasted jazzmaster. Love that look.

Looking great Pabs! This is going to be a pearler. Looking forward to seeing those clear coats.
cheers,
Gav.
Love this particular model to play, easily one of my favourites. Your finish looks killer too! Would love to hear a sound sample.
cheers,
Gav.
Great kit man. What are your finishing plans? I have always wanted to build one of these bad boys.
cheers,
Gav.
Thanks guys. Yeah Andy it's not as black as maybe it could have been, but I do like the grain. The sun does seem to wash it right out. Unfortunately I do think I sanded too finely in the first place....
More slow progress. I finally got an hour to shape the headstock (traditional Strat) and apply some Colortone Lemon Yellow before a first coat of Tru-Oil. There's something really satisfying about...
Looking great Grant! Pickups look awesome as well. She's going to look amazing when done.
cheers,
Gav.
Really looking the business now dude. Cant wait to see this one finished and have a listen.
cheers,
Gav.
Looking amazing! I loved mine before the land-fill took it. Gonna be one of the first builds I re-attempt. I'm really loving how yours is turning out man. The bue and natural combo is killer!

Love the dye job Shaz. That looks really great. Can't wait to see some clear on there!
cheers,
Gav.
Love the artwork Andy. Couple of coats of furniture Poly should see it more than permanent?
cheers,
Gav.
hi guys,
Progress is slow, but gettng the TO coats on. I think I'm up to about 5 coats now. Colour really isn't black, but I'm digging the grain.

Great kit Pabs - well done to the Mrs. I'm very tempted by this one also. I love jnrs and this one would have to be the coolest of the lot!

Gav.
Kit looks amazing. I would second the walnut Timbermate idea - it looks really great in mahogany.
cheers,
Gav.
Amazing work Arzi - looks fantastic. I'm in awe of anyone who completes a scratch build.
cheers,
Gav.
Another great video Shazz. Looking forward to seeing what kind of finish you choose for this one.

Gav.
VERY nice Rosco. Who doesn't love zebra hums in cream rings? Looks amazing.
cheers,
Gav.
Nice work Rosco. Had my eye on this too but couldn't quite pull the trigger.
Will make a really nice Tele, especially with that neck route.
cheers,
Gav.
