update: The machine head that came with the kit kept breaking the e string so they will be updated to the locking heads.
Lesson: spend a little extra to save pain
My first build. It's the STA-1M kit with s-s-h configuration in the pickups. I painted it using Accent flat black spray paint and the front is covered with sections of Batman comics (blasphemy!)....
Finished my Bat Strat today. It’s my first build. Upgraded the pickups to s-s-h configuration but that’s about it. Cut up some Batman comics to cover the front of the body then glossed the hell out...

Machine heads
I went to install my machine heads and got a little confused. What order do they go in. They have RA, RD, R3, R5, R7, R7 on them. :confused:
