I’ve decided to call the guitar Wonderboy, after the baseball bat in The Natural. The Natural is a novel by Bernard Malamud that tells the story of Roy Hobbs, a baseball phenomenon who appears first as a young man, and later as an older man trying to get back in the game. As a young farm boy Roy carves his own bat from the wood of a lightning-blasted tree and names it Wonderboy, and with it he can hit just about anything, as long as he stays true.

Of course, (spoiler alert!) he is shot by a crazed fan, takes a bribe, and loses the big game.
Maybe the Dave-o-caster?
I know of a similar story...

Welcome along, Dave. :)
Good on you Dave. Welcome.
A year ago I was diagnosed with cancer, and because there was a lot of pain, I was given morphine. The morphine was awesome and dangerous. Taking it became the best parts of the day; it made everything feel all right at a time when very little was all right. The morphine was a deep, deep blue liquid. It was beautiful.
I’m grateful to say that I am healthy now, and morphine is out of my life, but I’ll never forget that color of blue. So, the plan is to give Wonderboy a blue top, amber back and sides and neck. And even though the product I’m using is called Lady Teal, I’ll always think of it as Morphine Blue. Awesome and dangerous.
Because Pit Bull cannot ship Dingotone out of Australia, Adam was good enough to suggest BYOGuitar in New Hampshire (neighboring state) as a source of Wudtone products. I ordered, and a day later I came home from work to find this:

Inside was Wudtone Lady Teal for the body, Antique yellow for the neck, fretboard oil, and a can of lacquer for the headstock so that the decal can adhere properly.

I had ordered the headstock decal from Rothko & Frost in the UK. On the order page there was a box for special instructions where I wrote ‘wish me luck!’. When it arrived I saw that someone had written ‘Good Luck ☺’ on the envelope. Guitar people are good people.

Welcome Dave! That's a nice touch from Rothko & Frost! Good to see they're real (guitar) people!
Cant' wait to see how your morphine blue turns out...
Welcome Dave!
