Inspecting the headstock tuner hole placement...alas one was further away from his brethren...so.
Have had these suckers sitting on the shelf unused for quite some time.

Can't remember exactly how much but under $20.
Thing is they require an 8mm hole.
Fortunately I have a good supply of dowels left over from Pitbull build one.

Yes, I like the way your MDF template sits and IMO the shape suits better than standard kit stuff.

I think the Jazzmaster one-piece is the direction to take.
After sleeping on it, I've decided to have another go...the lower rear section should follow the edge of the body.
I'll leave out the upper controls for the first iteration, however I'll change the 'Fender' style selector switch for the 'Gibson' style toggle.
